Workshop on Implementation of Resource Efficient Cleaner Production (RECP) Measures

Industries are invited to participate and understand the implementation of “Resource Efficiency and Cleaner Production (RECP)” measures under GIZ’s Sustainable and Environmental-friendly Industrial Production (SEIP) Project, a workshop was organized at Hotel Gardenia, Haridwar, Uttarakhand on 29th August 2017.

Mr. H R Nautiyal (Regional Manager, SIIDCUL) inaugurated the workshop and recommended industries to take maximum benefits of the GIZ SEIP project activities.  Mr. Himesh Kapoor (President, SIIDCUL Entrepreneurs Welfare Association) was also present during the inaugural of the workshop and appreciated the efforts of GIZ team. Mr. Rajat Batra introduced the RECP team. Mr. Stefan Melnitzky, explained the concept of RECP initiative followed by another presentation of SEIP-EII consultancy approach by Mr. Rajat Batra.

During the workshop, participants deliberated on common problem areas in the companies, its solutions and first implementations in groups. Mr. Stefen Melnitzky presented the international best-practices in this field. Best practice examples were well appreciated and many options for implementation were picked up by participants. Mr. Hemant Verma expressed thanks to all the participants for attending the workshop.

According to the participants, the workshop was useful for a deeper understanding of RECP approach and EII project structure. The workshop provided inputs on how to implement RECP within their own industries.
