Meeting - CPCB, GIZ and consultants

Upon CPCB’s request, a meeting between CPCB and GIZ along with the appointed consultants to discuss the gaps and needs for all four Outputs (viz. legal, Organisational, Incentives, Resource Efficiency, Sustainable Consumption & Production) of SEIP II was held on 30th October 2019. Mr. Sudhakar, Additional Director, CPCB chaired the meeting with his colleagues Mr. Aditya Sharma, Mr. P.K. Gupta, Ms. Alpana, Mr. Tripathi.

Mr. Ashish Kumar, GIZ gave an overview of the SEIP Phase II Project and elaborated the focus areas under SEIP Phase II. A list of the activities identified to be carried out in 2019 and 2020 was also shared.  The scope and progress of the planned and initiated activities. Elaborate discussions were held thereafter in the following order:

Output 1 (Legal Framework): Explained by Mr. Amit Kumar and further explained by EY representatives

Output 2 (Organisational Strengthening & Capacity Building): Explained by Mr. Ashish Kumar and further explained by Deloitte representatives

Output 3 (Incentive Mechanism): Explained by Ms Janka Eckert and further explained by CRISIL representatives

Output 4&5 (Knowldge Products; Resource Efficient & Sustainable Consumption): Explained by Mr Dattakiran Jagu and further explained by NPC representatives

CPCB sought clarifications on gaps shared by consultants and also given directions for the priority areas for detailing out the solutions.
