Project Partners

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC), Government of India and GIZ are the main partners of SEIP. An Implementation Agreement has been signed between MoEF&CC and GIZ.

For the SEIP Project, GIZ provides necessary technical cooperation, advisory support and training through national and international experts. The consultants chosen will be specialists from various disciplines, as per project requirements, from whom a broad range of perspectives and approaches can be leveraged for the benefit of the project partners.

MoEF&CC has its role in planning and coordination of the project, setting up a Project Coordination Unit (PCU) at MoEF&CC and coordinating and steering the implementing partner agencies at national/state/local level, wherever necessary, for ensuring proper progress and success of the project interventions.

The primary partners related to project sites include:

  • Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC).
  • Delhi State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC).
  • State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation of Uttarakhand Ltd. (SIIDCUL).
  • Industrial estate management, industrial associations and individual companies.

The important secondary stakeholders include:

  • Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Government of India.
  • Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Industry & Commerce, Government of India.
  • Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India.
  • Industrial associations such as FICCI, CII etc.
  • Relevant State Government Departments in the three selected States (Environment Department, Industries Department, State Pollution Control Boards, training institutions etc.).
