Best Practices in Environmental Management..Lessons Learnt in Wastewater Management of Industrial Areas

9th December 2019

Industrial development, seen as a key driver of growth, has also been one of the leading contributors to the degradation of water, soil and air quality. Much of the degradation is focused on fluid effluents emanating from the industrial processes – which may need containment, or treatment prior to discharge to nature. Similar problems have been faced by countries across the world; and have taken proactive steps to arrest the problem. In this webinar, an attempt to illustrate some of the practices followed in many countries was undertaken to help make a prima facie assessment of whether they can be adapted to the Indian context or not.

Digbijoy Bhowmik, Consultant with GIZ, made an elaborate presentation and explained in detail the best practices studied under the project so far.
