Portal for Regulation of Air-pollution in Non-Attainment cities (PRANA) launched

07th September 2021, MoEFCC, New Delhi

On the occassion of the second "International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies", Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Shri Bhupender Yadav, launched a portal named “PRANA” – Portal for Regulation of Air-pollution in Non-Attainment cities for monitoring and manging implementation of the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP). PRANA meaning 'life' in Sanskrit, is  portal for regulation of air pollution in 132 cities across the country.

Triangular Cooperation project on Improving Air Quality in India and Mexico, being implemented by GIZ, focuses on the exchange of knowledge to strengthen the capacities of cities to combat air pollution, with viable technical and financial solutions. '' the virtual space, for the Community of Practice has been created to share information and best practices with other members from the three countries.

On the occasion of the 2nd International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies, GIZ in collaboration with Clean Air Asia (CAA) and Bloomberg Philanthropies successfully launched the Train4CleanAir (T4CA) manuals as a regional training approach to meet the above capacity building needs that aims to assist cities to create and implement Clean Air Plans (CAPs) and make informed policies and decisions.
